Compost bins, spare blades, tool bags - accessories for a chipper shredder

You'll find plenty of excellent accessories here for your electric or petrol wood chipper - from handy compost bins and garden bags for storing your mulch to covers for keeping your shredder protected from the rain.

Wooden or plastic composter bins are ideal for holding all your chippings and mulch after you have used your petrol or electric wood chipper in your garden.

Some people like to take their crushed branches, hedge cuttings and twigs to their local tip, while other place it in their green waste disposal bin for removal by the binmen.

Others prefer to recycle all their wood chippings and a composter is perfect for the job in hand. A top quality wooden composter will be guaranteed against rot for up to 15 years and can be easily assembled for use. Wooden composters are available in small, medium and large sizes.

A plastic compost bin is another great option and these are usually made from recycled plastic. They feature a door at the base for easy access and plenty of internal space for the microbial action to go to work on your wood chippings and other vegetation.

We also feature many other wood chipper shredder accessories including replacement blades which are essential when your existing blade becomes blunt due to extensive use.

A good quality heavy duty garden refuse bag is also a useful garden accessory for filling with all your mulch from your wood chipper. These are usually made of strong woven polythylene fabric and have a handy 'stay open' feature which means you won't spill some of your branch chippings and other garden brush when filling it. Garden refuse bags are also rot proof and have been UV treated to ensure a longer life. They can be used over and over again and come with a useful handle on the base for tipping the contents into a recycling bin or composter.

We also have some tough and durable canvas garden tool bags which are great for holding the various tools you use when getting your flower beds, borders and lawn area neat and tidy. Some of these also feature a detachable seat which allows you to carry out weeding and other garden maintenance tasks in comfort.

A garden mulcher is a superb device for breaking down large tree trunks and branches into much smaller parts for disposal. An electric or petrol chipper shredder is an essential device to have in your armoury of electrical gardening tools and really comes into its own when you need to tidy up debris and fallen branches in your back or front garden.

You just need to gather up all the foliage and branches on the ground into a big pile and then feed it all into the top area of the wood chipper where it will be crunched up and grinded into mulch.

The debris can then be emptied into a refuse bag or compost bin and taken to a nearby tip or landfill site. The petrol-powered chipper will normally be much more powerful and is able to grind up heavier and fatter branches.
